Facilities

Life at Tallong Park Estate

Facilities designed for everyday use, not occasional display.

Tallong Park’s facilities exist for the benefit of Association members, their families, and accompanied guests. They are intentionally informal and accessible—most require no booking—supporting spontaneous, low-friction use that fits rural living rather than resort rules.

Golf Course

Bushland golf with character, not crowds

An 18-tee, 9-hole course set within native bushland. The layout blends twelve par-3 holes and nine par-4 holes. Distances are modest; precision is not. Small greens reward control and punish complacency, making it ideal for sharpening the short game.

Social golf

  • Thursday mornings: 9 or 18 holes, 10:00am year-round

  • Monday afternoons: 9 holes, 2:00pm

  • Handicap system in place with modest prizes

  • Open to players of all abilities

Course use is guided by the Tallong Course Care principles to preserve quality for all members.

Tennis and Basketball

All-weather, year-round access

Members enjoy:

  • An outdoor all-weather tennis court suitable for day or night play

  • An all-weather basketball court for practice and casual use

Facilities are designed for reliability rather than seasonality.

Indoor Swimming Pool

Private, practical, and climate-controlled

An 11.25-metre indoor, chlorinated pool heated by solar with gas backup. Ideal for recreation, training, and low-impact fitness.

  • Open approximately 9 months of the year

  • Closed during winter to manage energy costs

  • Secure access via swipe card

  • Replacement swipe cards available for a nominal fee

This is a resident facility, not a public aquatic centre—quiet, clean, and controlled.

Walking and Bridle Trails

18 km of managed bushland access

Approximately 18 kilometres of established trails wind through native forest, offering walking and bridle routes that connect residents directly with the landscape. These trails are a defining feature of the estate, providing daily access to bushland without leaving the gate.

Lakes

Water, space, and calm

Two water-storage lakes sit within natural bushland dominated by Scribbly and Stringybark gums.

  • The larger lake includes picnic areas under development

  • Stocked with brown trout (catch and release only)

  • Passive small-boat use permitted

These are shared natural assets, managed for longevity rather than exploitation.
